About Me

Do you dream of going to a foreign country and contribute to a community?

Do you dream of helping others or further scientific research?

Have you felt like there is more to travel than relaxation and getting away?

A few years ago at a bar with a friend I made a decision that I would volunteer in a foreign country, in this case Africa.  I spent a few months researching how to volunteer and who to volunteer with.  I have made it a point to volunteer in a different country every year since then.  For the past four years I have succeed.

After returning from each trip people will always ask me, how did you find out how to do this?  The honest answer is hours and hours of Google searching and research into different organizations.  I began to realize I could help others Save the World through travel.  There are varying views on volunteer travel, but I feel that travel is essential to a world view and connecting people to their dreams of helping others is something I want to be a part of.

I have a particular interest in projects and volunteering with citizen science projects that are focused on conservation.  Having volunteered in two different types of animal welfare focused and citizen science projects there are clearly some differences in each approach.

If you’re here and you’re interested, then I look forward to your next journey, wherever it may take you.  I only hope I can be of some help along your way.
